Financial / stock market this week – January 14
I wrote last week about two critical dates, January 8 (new moon in Capricorn) and January 11 (Venus square Uranus). US markets tumbles on both dates. Gold and Silver (both being ruled by Venus) hits all time high of $900 and $16 respectively on January 11.
On January 16, Venus (planet of stocks) is making sextile with Neptune. It is a positive aspect, and you can expect bulls to rule on that day. On January 20, Venus is in direct opposition with Mars.
All are wondering how things will emerge in 2008.Jupiter and Saturn have changed signs recently from fire signs (bulls) to earth signs (practical approach). Jupiter and Saturn are two big planets and their movement will have significant impact on current bull market. In entire 2007, Jupiter was in Sagittarius (sign of optimism in stock). Approximately all world markets saw great time in 2007. With these planets in practical signs like Virgo and Capricorn, bulls are feeling heat now. I don’t see any major change in scene in first half of 2008 but second half will have Saturn and Uranus opposition. That should lead to bearishness in markets.
Next week, we have three major aspects, full moon in Leo, Jupiter trine Saturn, and Mercury conjunct Neptune. These aspects will have overlapping impact this week too. Jupiter (lord of luck) is in trine (great mood) with Saturn (planet of security) on January 21. It indicates bulls will bounce back this week.
In conclusion, this week, market should consolidate. Week starting from January 21 have more critical aspects for markets. Most of them support bullish market trend. It indicates corporate earnings will be in-line of expectation.
