Financial / stock market of the week – October 8
Just as recession fears have eased in recent weeks, concerns about global liquidity have slowly receded as investors show an increasing willingness to bet on another interest rate cut from the Federal Reserve. Stronger-than-expected jobs data and a deep revision of August’s paltry numbers sent stocks higher on Friday. Now, all markets are moving around their all time high levels while most of financial expert expecting a correction in market. This is typical feature of Jupiter and Uranus square.
Geocosmic energy equation suggests a very active week ahead at all front, as we approach the final waning square of Jupiter-Uranus, new moon in Libra, Mercury turning retrograde, and the third and final conjunction of this season between Venus and Saturn. It could be the first one to unfold that causes the reversal. The New Moon in Libra is especially important in stock markets, while its leader Venus is in Pain with Saturn, and it could lead to market reversal.

There was a T-square between Sun-Mars-Pluto last week too, the midpoint of which occurred on September 19. That happened to be the day that several indices made their high of the week. It was expected to be extremely bullish or bearish market. I forecasted for bearish market last week. It seems to be long term bullish story. And that makes this stressed aspect as a bull supportive aspect.
FED Funds lowered its rate on Tuesday by a half percent, when most were expecting a reduction of only a quarter percent. It could be really risky decision in long term. Subsequently, Crude oil and wheat are making all-time highs. Gold is back to its highest level in 27 years. And the Dollar has fallen to a new historic low against the Euro currency.
In the Far East and Pacific Rim, the stellar equity performers were in Hong Kong and India. The Hang Seng skyrocketed to a new all-time high on Friday at 25,893. India’s NIFTY index was right behind, soaring to its highest level ever at 4855 on Friday, up over 21% since August 21.
Astrologically, this bullishness can be explained by Mercury movement ways. Heliocentric Mercury in Sagittarius (September 11-22) and the Moon in Sagittarius (September 17-19, also known as the “Sagittarius Factor”).
