Financial / stock market this week – Feb 11
Bear ruled the week. The biggest decline of last week took place near solar eclipse. Last week I wrote “On February 7, we have solar eclipse in air sign of Aquarius. Uranus (ruler of Aquarius, planet of surprise) will make great aspect with Venus (stocks). Technology stocks could surprise people near this time”. Technology stocks could make decisive move near March 7, new moon.
In monthly “money horoscope”, I wrote about precious metals price movement near January 30. Gold touched $930 and moved down till $890. Same happened with other precious metals.
For this week, the most important signature is the Sun-Neptune conjunction of February 11. Thus we may see the end of many market retracements during this period.
Another important aspect is lunar eclipse of February 21 which is happening in close conjunction with Saturn. Rate sensitive sectors could really see ground near this time. Concerns for future will be felt all across the markets. Four planets (Venus (Gold, stock), Pluto (passion), Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn (contraction) are in practical signs. It indicates caution and practical approach in market by investors. Eclipse also indicates emotional high point.
Mercury (planet of communication, stocks) is in retrograde motion currently. It indicates directionless and range bound motion of stocks. There may be rumors in market. Crosscheck the information before reacting.
In conclusion, some Asian markets will react to peers melt down on Monday as they did not participate due to their holiday period. Sun- Neptune conjunction of February 11 will give some hope for bulls this week. No major geocosmic signature this week also indicates consolidation period. Next week’s eclipse could again fuel the sell-off in market near February 21.

Love astrology equation this week – Feb 11
This is the valentine week. Venus (goddess of love) is in good mood with Mars and North node on February 13 and 15. And no major negative aspect this week makes this valentine mood supportive for love. Venus is moving currently in Capricorn, and supporting Virgo in their love on this Valentine. Wish you all a very happy valentine day ahead.
Next week, on February 21, we have an eclipse in Virgo. That indicates culmination point of love mainly for Taurus sign. Relationship issues could be prime focus for Pisces. It also indicates heart break for some of them. Mercury is in retrograde motion on this valentine. It is always recommended to cross check the information before reacting.
On February 17, Venus will move into independent Aquarius. Passions may cool with a greater need for personal freedom, but a reduction of emotional intensity will bring the objectivity needed to restructure relationships. A new take on pleasure can stir unfamiliar tastes, opening the heart and mind to different kinds of people and unusual forms of delight.

Astrology equation of this week – Feb 11
Deadly storms killed nearly fifty people in Tennessee and nearby states. I wrote about it last week ” Mercury – Neptune conjunction is happening on February 3 and highly correlated with global disasters involving human lives”
This week does not have any major geocosmic signature. It is waiting for next week’s lunar eclipse of February 21. The opposition of the Sun in imaginative Pisces and the Moon in pragmatic Virgo is an annual event that contrasts the ideal with the real. Serious Saturn’s conjunction with the Moon weighs heavily in favor of bringing dreams down to earth. However, a Lunar Eclipse suggests that something’s got to go: an old habit or frustrating job may be ripe for change. Intense Pluto is supporting this change. This signature is happening next week but we could feel power of it this week too.
Mercury is in retrograde motion until February 18. Thus, use this week to research and review anything new and innovative. You may find you want to spend time alone or find your mind wandering as you review all aspects of your life: your friendships, your family, your career, your communication style, your goals. On negative side, it also indicates delay, frustration and communication mess in some part of your life. We saw lot of disruption in normal life last week due to extremely cold weather conditions.

Financial / stock market this week – January 28
It was highly volatile week all across stock markets around the world. Many fell on Monday on Jupiter and Saturn trine, on January 21. They will form two more exact trines in 2008 -September 8 and finally on November 21. They interacted last time in fire signs on March 16 and May 6 of 2007. The March 16 date was just two days after the end of a very sharp 2-3 week stock market sell-off. May 6 was one day before a crest in the NASDAQ Composite, followed by a modest sell-off into May 16. And now on January 21, we saw a sharp sell off in all markets.
Fed came to rescue this sell of by reducing a sell-off by reducing rate by seventy-five basis point. I wrote the same in last week column “With Jupiter in Capricorn, home of Saturn and ruling sign of such things as real estate and government, it would seem that the economic leaders of this nation could resolve the sub-prime mortgage crisis that is currently spooking the markets”
Mercury (planet of communication) and Mars (planet of impulsive energy) will turn their directions this week on January 28 and 30. Last time during Mars directional change, we saw sharp decline in gold prices. Will this happen again??
Venus is having its ingress of Capricorn from January 24, lasting through February 17. For the first 8 days of this ingress, it will cross the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in early Capricorn. Thus we now watch to see if they can post a significant rally into January 24-February 1, the time band in which Venus translates the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction, much like they did into December 11.
In conclusion, volatility will continue this week. Gold price could see sudden movement near January 30.

Love astrology equation this week – January 28
Venus (goddess of love) is in earthy and practical sign of Capricorn. Venus in Capricorn indicates reserved, cautious, refined and somewhat cool romantic energies. Near this time, your emotional well-being is more dependent on financial security and social status, rather than love and marriage.
From January 30 to February 1, Venus (plant of fun) will touch Jupiter and Saturn trine. It is very lucky aspect for fun and romance. If you were born near 27th of any month, this impact will be more visible to you. Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn are most benefited sign during it.

Astrology equation of this week – January 28
Mercury (planet of communication) and Mars (planet of energy and action) will be technically stationary this week. During the stationary point, on January 28, planet’s energy will become nearly scattered. Mercury rules over the mind’s processes, studying, communication, businesses, travels and the like. When Mercury reverses its direction, all these areas are affected as well. Businesses, travels and communications tend to experience delays and different problems. Computers and other processes that work with information may experience crashes, unexpected failures. If you were born near 14th of any month, this impact will be more visible to you.
Mars retro in Gemini suggests intellectual conflict and dissension, as the intellect is stimulated and opinions will be aired, no matter what the cost. On February 3, Mercury is in conjunction with Neptune. There will be three continuous interactions between these planets on 23 January, 3 February and 9 March. This interaction has high correlation with disaster involving human life, especially air or water related, plus or minus six days. You can again watch this time period for anything like it.
